Barlow Creek and Bonney Meadows Snowmobile Ride
While Julian spent the day with "Grammy", Katie and I went to the mountain to snowmobile. Originally we planned to ride from Frog Lake SnoPark, but it was too busy with dog sled races, so we ended up nearby at Skyline SnoPark. It was snowing lightly and about 24°F which was quite a bit warmer than last weekend.
We headed through the tunnel under Hwy 26 back toward Frog Lake. We then rode down road 43 to Barlow Crossing campground along Barlow Creek. We rode a little ways down the Barlow Trail before turning around.
We continued on road 48 and then 4890 to Bonney Meadows. No one was around and we enjoyed a little riding in the meadows. This was the longest trip Katie has been on since our Mini Adventurer was born. Soon she'll be ready for some off trail riding.
There was so much snow at Bonney Meadows that all the picnic tables were completely covered. I couldn't see a single one.
We had a fun quick ride and were back home by 1:30 PM before all the ski traffic.
