Fun with family on the Columbia River

With upper 90's forecast for the weekend we got an earlier start at the boat ramp Friday (Chinook Landing). We met my sister and her family at the ramp. Everyone piled in (8 of us total) and we cruised downstream. It was windy which helped it feel a little cooler. We tried to find a calm place to anchor, but the current was ripping everywhere.

Everyone took turns getting pulled in the inner-tube. Jenny's daughter Brooklyn always wanted to go faster.

In the end, Ethan was the tubing king. I couldn't knock him off the tube. He had a strategy that just plain worked. Way-to-go Ethan!

Everyone had a blast. Unfortunately the ramp was super crowded when we returned at the end of the day, but eventually we made it out. What a fun way to beat the heat.
