Initial Thoughts (11/17/14):

Besides looking great, the HMK Cascade jacket felt very comfortable the first time I put it on. Even with the sturdy ballistic nylon construction, the Cascade jacket feels flexible and allows the wearer plenty of freedom to move around in.

I like how the Cascade jacket is just a shell, but still roomy enough to through on an extra layer underneath. The sizing runs a bit large as I typically wear a medium, but needed a small HMK Cascade jacket. I also like how there is no hood to get in the way of wearing a helmet or to fill up with snow on a powder day.

Initial Field Test (11/23/14):

Winter has been a little slow in coming this year, but I was able to test out the HMK Cascade jacket on a short snowmobile trip with my family. The weather was mild so, I was not able to test the waterproofing, but I really enjoyed snowmobiling with the Cascade jacket. The ballistic nylon construction left me not worrying about brushing up on trees like with a standard winter jacket.

The jacket was very comfortable and let me move naturally without feeling stiff. It was a warm day, but I did not feel clammy underneath the Cascade jacket. The helmet compatible collar was comfortable and kept my neck warm while riding. My only complaint is the zipper pulls are difficult to use with gloves. But all-in-all, I enjoyed wearing the jacket and look forward to using it more this season when winter is in full swing.
