Snowmobiling from White River East SnoPark

We went chasing the recent snowfall on Mt Hood Saturday. My friend Kevin recently bought a new Arctic Cat and he was eager to take it on an inaugural ride. Our plant was to launch from White River East SnoPark and hopefully ride up to Bonney Meadows.

There was only one other vehicle in the snopark when we arrived just before 8 AM. It was a crisp cool morning with cloudy skies and fresh powder.

Unfortunately the snow level had not gotten low enough for us to get over to Bonney Meadows. White River East snopark is above 4,000 feet in elevation, but to get to Bonney Meadows you have to dip down around 3,200 feet in elevation. We ended up just riding around up higher until we got bored. I missed lots of good riding last year, so I hope we eventually get more snow.
